MELODY FOR THEME B:

Activities:
1.  Teacher teaches melody using Kodaly hand signs and syllables.
2.  Teacher teaches floor pattern using note names to prepare students to play the melody on melody bells.
3.  Teacher asks students to transfer the melody (floor pattern) on to the melody bells.
4.  Teacher asks students to perform melody on the melody bells with the recording.

MELODY FOR THEME C:

 

Activites:
1.  Teacher teaches melody first using floor pattern.
2.  Teacher transfers floor pattern to melody bells.
3.  Teacher asks students to perform melody on melody bells with the recording.
4.  Teacher teaches ostinato on metalaphones.
5.  Teacher divides class in half and asks half of the class to play melody on melody bells while the other half play the ostinato.
6.  Teacher asks both halves to play together with the recording.
